What type of stainless steel do you use for your sinks?
We use high quality cold-rolled 304 grade stainless steel.

Are your sinks comparable to other name brands such as Blanco, Kohler, Elkay & Franke?
Yes. Our sinks are of the same quality as our competitors. The materials we use for our sinks, faucets and accessories are comparable to top name brands.

How do I repair a scratch in my sink?
Stainless steel sinks will naturally have fine scratches appear over time. Refer to our Cleaning page for information on how to repair or diminish scratches on all sink materials.

What is a good gauge for a sink?
The lower the gauge number, the thicker the sink is. An average, good quality sink gauge is either 16 or 18.

What accessories are available with my sink?
We carry standard and basket strainers, stainless steel grids, dish baskets and cutting boards for many of our kitchen sinks. Vessel and standard pop-up drains are available for lavatory sinks and we offer many faucet styles for all of our sinks.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?
MR Direct will replace any sink that is defective as well as cover the shipping cost. Reinstallation fees are not covered under this warranty.

Will my sink fit in my kitchen cabinet?
Almost all of our kitchen sinks are made to fit a standard base cabinet size of 33” or larger. The 504 and 509 models will only fit a minimum 36”cabinet and the 4221 will fit a minimum 42” cabinet.

Is my sink available with reversed side bowls?
We carry reversed side bowls for all of our offset sinks.

Do I need a special faucet and drain for a vessel sink?
Yes. All vessel sinks require a vessel faucet and a vessel pop-up drain. Glass waterfall faucets are available for all glass vessel sinks.

What is a sink reveal?
A sink reveal refers to the placement of the sink in the countertop and how much of the sink edge is showing.

What is Vitreous China?
Vitreous China Is a mixture of clay and other minerals triple glazed and triple fired for stain resistance and durability.

Why do your bronze and copper sinks have a patina?
Patina helps to define the shape and details of the sink. Since bronze and copper will naturally patina over time, your sink will continue to look beautiful for years to come.

What materials make up a TruGranite sink?
Our TruGranite sinks are made with 80% Quartzite and 20% Acrylic. Silver ions are added to kill 99% of bacteria on contact.

Why do my granite sinks have different colors, even though they are the same model?
Since all of our stone sinks come from natural granite, marble, onyx and sandstone, there will be regular variances between color and pattern.
